The Sunday Times is reporting today that Aston Martin is planning to float on the stock market within the next couple of years to fund the development of future models, including the Lagonda SUV.

Pictures of the Rapide have been around for so long that at times its easy to forget that no one outside of Aston Martin has ever driven one – until this week.  At long last, the Rapide has been released to the press… and I’m pleased to hear that the consensus appears to be that it was worth the wait.  It might still not be limo-roomy but the two rear seats are useable and, most importantly, dynamically its reported to be brilliant.  Plus it’s a hatch back, eliminating the problem of the useless boot on the DB9/S.  The ideal family transport… Maybe – it scores 4.5/5 in Evo magazine to beat Quatroporte, Flying Spur and Panamera.  Here are some of the best reviews:
